DESCRIPTION:Drenched Fur is Erie\, PA's Bear Run annually held around the e
 nd of March or beginning of April and is available for Bears/Cubs\, Daddy/
 Son\, Otters/Wolfs\, Chubs\, Chasers and Friends!\n\nLocal organizers John
  and Gary in 2005 put on what is believed to be the area's first Bear even
 t: Drenched Fur. About 70+ men went to Splash Lagoon Water Park during the
  daytime and about 150 men turn up at Trance Dance Club that evening for a
  performance by Kendall. An afternoon outing quickly grew into a successfu
 l one day event.\n\nOne of the things that has helped make Erie—and Drench
 ed Fur—a destination for the bear community is the highlight of having an 
 exclusive night time private event at Splash Lagoon\, our local indoor wat
 er park resort. \n\nSet in a tropical 84 degrees Polynesian atmosphere\, S
 plash Lagoon Indoor Water Park features the latest and most exciting rides
  in the water park industry today. Riders swirl and speed down slides\, te
 st their skills in adventure bay\, get drenched by the 1\,000 gallon tippi
 ng bucket\, explore the interactive 5 story tiki tree house\, float down t
 he lazy river\, relax in the family whirlpools and enjoy a variety of wate
 r activity areas. The Wild Waters Wave Pool is the largest indoor wave poo
 l in the Eastern US. Everyone enjoys the 200\,000 gallon wave pool with si
 x different wave patterns for hours of fun.\n\nAdults can sip their favori
 te drinks at the Soggy Dollar Bar. When the surf goes out and great food i
 s what you are hungry for\, head into Laguna Grill. The Surf Shop offers s
 pecialty merchandise and also local gift items. With more than an acre of 
 water park fun\, the Splash Lagoon complex is an amazing facility and has 
 been a wonderful venue for the run all these years.\n\nIn addition to enjo
 ying the fun wet times there\, the weekend typically includes various acti
 vities which in past years have been bar night outings\, day time tours\, 
 and entertainment events such as game shows\, comedians\, singers\, and DJ
 s. Each year the DF Committee works to make improvements and change things
  up slightly to prevent repeat run fatigue. Currently the run pleasantly r
 etains an approximate 250 person capacity making it a smaller scale bear r
 un. We like the opportunities provided to meet new and old friends and tru
