Set in a tropical 84 degrees Polynesian atmosphere, Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park features the latest and most exciting rides in the water park industry today. Riders swirl and speed down slides, test their skills in adventure bay, get drenched by the 1,000 gallon tipping bucket, explore the interactive 5 story tiki tree house, float down the lazy river, relax in the family whirlpools and enjoy a variety of water activity areas. The Wild Waters Wave Pool is the largest indoor wave pool in the Eastern US. Everyone enjoys the 200,000 gallon wave pool with six different wave patters for hours of fun.

Adults can sip their favorite drinks in the Tiki Hut, Island Oasis Bar, or the Soggy Dollar Bar. When the surf goes out and great food is what you are hungry for, head into Laguna Grill or be tempted to stop in the Sweet Shoppe. The Surf Shop offers specialty merchandise and also local gift items. With more than an acre of water park fun, the Splash Lagoon complex is an amazing facility and has been a wonderful venue for the run all these years.

In addition to enjoying the fun wet times there, the weekend typically includes various activities which in past years have been bar night outings, day time tours, and entertainment events such as game shows, comedians, singers, and DJs. Each year the DF Committee works to make improvements and change things up slightly to prevent repeat run fatigue. Currently the run pleasantly retains an approximate 250 person capacity making it a smaller scale bear run. We like the opportunities provided to meet new and old friends and truly enjoy the time spent together.

Is the host hotel for Drenched Fur sold out?

Technically, yes all guest rooms at the Clarion Lake Erie and Bel-Aire Conference Center are booked. As time passes and the run gets closer, we expect there will be some cancellations which would create openings. Because these cancellations can literally occur at any time, the sellout status flexes constantly - but in general terms it is sold out.

How do I get on the 'wait list' for a room at the host hotel?

Honoring a FIFO [first in, first out] inventory process, host hotel room openings that occur after sellout are handled on an individual basis. Registrants with Drenched Fur group block room reservations at the contracted Comfort Inn overflow hotel, are offered room openings based on their run reg date/timestamp. A couple of factors can also affect the option to transfer the room reservation from the overflow to the host hotel; specifically the room types [2 beds vs 1 bed available].
